Context
Student Hub runs real courses at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering in Mitrovica. Lectures, slides, weekly challenges, progression, and standings live in one system — built because my students deserved better than PDFs scattered across email threads.
The problem
Students disengage when progress is invisible. They cram, pass, forget. The failure isn't motivation — it's feedback loops measured in semesters instead of weeks. Games solved this decades ago; university software never caught up.
Shape of the system
The semester is a progression system. Students earn XP through weekly in-class challenges, watch their standing move in real time, and always know exactly where they stand. Slides present from the platform itself; attendance and progress live beside them. The philosophy is strict: everything finishes in class. No homework theater.
Where it stands
In production across multiple courses at the University of Mitrovica. Students ask about the next challenge before it's announced — the progression loop does more for engagement than any lecture ever did.
In practice
- Weekly challenge system with XP progression
